About the position

The CCYP Media, Communication and Engagement team supports children and young people’s participation in the work of the Commissioner by supporting their inclusion in forums and events.

Working across the Commission, we assist in the development of information and resources to promote community awareness and understanding about the wellbeing of children and young people.

This role has a focus on stakeholder engagement, project management and undertakes a range of duties including:

  • planning and delivering workshops, forums and seminars
  • coordinating strategic award and partnership agreements
  • coordinating of the Commissioner’s metropolitan and regional visits
  • preparing and editing reports, correspondence and resources promoting the voices of children and young people.
  • collaborating and engaging with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • meaningfully involving children and young people in the work and projects of the Commissioner’s office.
  • supporting the coordination of the Commissioner’s engagement activities with a range of community representatives, including children and young people.

The team supports the Commissioner to advocate, research, advise, monitor and inquire on behalf of children and young people.
